The weirdest, most baffling or downright insane movie posters on the planet.

Detournement de mineur
-
Dog Lay Afternoon (Turkey)
Sick sick sick ! This Italian sleaze sundae features Ilona 'Cicciolina' Staller and was written and co-directed by actor George Eastman (a.k.a. Luigi Montefiori), star of many sleazy Italian films. Oddly, Joe D'Amato had nothing to do with this film.
-
Robo Force (Pakistan)
At first glance, that's Linda Blair and her heaving breasts from 'Savage Streets'. But once you get to the bottom-half, the fraud is exposed. This is a Pakistani poster 'mash-up' for a 'Robocop'-inspired comedy from Hong Kong called "Robo Force", a.k.a. "I Love Maria".
-
Crocodile Evil (Thailand)
Another freaky-looking Thai poster for a weird-ass 80's Hong Kong horror flick. I'm going to pretend that crocodile isn't doing what I think its doing between that girl's legs.
-
Krasue Grahailuead (Thai)
Weird as it may look to Westerners, the Krasue (the flying head'n'organs witch) is very common in the folklore of Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia and the Phillippines., and has already appeared in 30+ films. The title here literally means "Bloody Filth-Eating Spirit”.
-
Kara Simsek 1 a.k.a. Turkish Rocky
Turkish cinema is known for its many 'remakes' of Western box-office successes. This one is better known as "Turkish Rocky" for obvious reasons. Oddly, the Turkish title "Kara Simsek" was also used for the "Knight Rider" TV series, perhaps explaining the numeral appended to the title of this movie. Serdar also starred in "Turkish Rambo".
-
Agent 00 – Turkish lobby card #3
Turkish lobby card for Filipino midgetsploitation, starring Weng Weng!!!
-
The Incredible Kids (Turkey)
Kung-fu kidsploitation comedy from Taiwan. The Turkish title means "Little Rambos", which if you think about it, is a far better title than 'The Incredible Kids'.
-
White Slaver
AKA Penthouse Playgirls. Swiss sleaze from the prolific Erwin C. Dietrich.
-
Hollow-Eyed Ghost (Thailand)
I know nothing about this Thai horror film, except that the title means "Hollow-Eyed Ghost". But judging by the stunningly macabre artwork, I'm going to have to keep my eyes peeled for this one.
-
Mr. No Legs
"Don't Cross Him or He'll Cut You Down to Size"
-
The Sex Adventures of the Three Musketeers (Germany)
Noxiously misogynistic German poster for Erwin C. Dietrich sex comedy. You could never get away with movie advertising like this today, nor would you want to.
-
Bionic Boy – Turkish lobby card #2
-
Agent 00 – Turkish lobby card #2
Turkish lobby card for Filipino midgetsploitation, starring Weng Weng!!!
-
The Super Riders – Lebanese lobby card #2
Lobby card from Lebanon for Japanese fantasy flick
-
Cocaine Wars (Egypt)
'Cocaine Wars' was a cheap straight-to-video production starring "Duke of Hazzard" John Schneider. So what is David Carradine from "P.O.W.: The Escape" doing on here?
-
A*P*E (Belgium)
Giant ape + giant shark + giant snake = giant turd. Thank God it's got 'Mega Sound'! This American / South Korean co-production was rushed into production to capitalize on the release of Dino De Laurentiis' King Kong remake.
-
Poppea- A Prostitute in Service of the Emperor (Finland)
-
Pets (Pakistan)
More filched artwork? While the girls on the bottom-half of the poster are definitely from 'Pets', I suspect the top-half of the poster was nicked from a different movie poster to make this look like a prison-break flick.
-
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Turkey)
One of my favorite posters in my entire collection. Read on to find out why...
-
Narcosatanicos Diabolicos
Wacky Mexican sex comedy, somehow involving drugs and Satan
-
Rat Savior
Is it horror? Is it comedy? Is it pretentious arthouse fare? Your guess is as good as mine.
-
Ilsa, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks – German lobby card #6
-
Pecador (Poland)
Hard-drinking masked wrestler battles space aliens and Sasquatch in this low-budget, feature-length Polish homage to Mexican wrestling movies by Dawid Gryza and Paweł Kaczmarek.
-
Shaolin vs. Evil Dead – version B (Pakistan)
Ever hear of the EVIL DEAD sequel Sam Raimi shot in Hong Kong? Neither did we. The poster says 'Evil Dead 4' but it's really a 2004 martial arts/horror flick starring Gordon Liu.
